I’m glad you find the templates useful. Regarding the priority – yes, sorting the Excel table and then doing a printout is the natural choice.

However I find it useful to have the column to see at a glance how many high, medium and low prio tasks / features there are. Without opening Excel. It’s all about radiating information off that sheet of paper.

If someone’s filling the backlogs manually I’d recommend using colored pens for the priority (green, yellow, red). Gives an even more intuitive overview of the distribution.

I see you’re suggest to use “priority” field for user stories. But isn’t it more natural to use user story placement in list/board/stack to denote its priority? The higher it is, the higher its priority. I’ve tried to use a column-list like one used in “Top Gear” TV Show, it works
