About me

Making my hobby my profession probably was the best thing that ever happened to me, right along with my girlfriend and to-be wife.

I am writing software for as long as I think, starting with a Commodore C64, typing the source code listings off of weekly magazines from the book store before I could speak english.

Studying IT after school was the logical choice, but it kept me interested only for one year. I will learn about dot-clouds in n-dimensional space when I need it, thanks. Probably never required. Instead I embrace the practical side of software development and consulting: Getting the job done in the most elegant way possible, with as little code as possible - keeping it readable at the same time.

I believe that software development is an art form. Some objects in this art are more messy than others.

Born a German, I am in India for a year now.  No plans to move back any time soon, if work enables me to stay.

I'm detail driven. Playful. Curious. Opinionated.

What I do is hard to describe. 'System Architect' is on my business card but I do much more than that. Managing people. Doing Scrum. Prototype development, design if I think I have to.

When I am not at work spending time with this hobby I ride my Enfield Bullet or do photography.
